I have been predator hunting for many years. The reason I started this website is to pass what knowledge I do have on to others that
want to learn about predator hunting. When I got started years ago it seemed everyone wanted to keep what knowledge they had to themselves
and require those like me trying to get started to buy their movies or audio cassettes. Believe me I have spent my share on these
items but have learned that the best way to learn about predators and how to hunt them is to spend time out where they live.
I want to start by telling you I have a great respect for the predators I hunt. I admire the fact that coyotes can adapt and live
in all states within the continental United States (From the extreme heat of the southwest to the extreme cold of the northeast).
I will not pretend to be an expert on coyotes but the fact that they can live on tree roots; seeds on trees, prickly pears from cactus
and walnuts during bad times when there aren’t many rabbits or rodents to prey on just amazes me.
I started hunting predators when they decided to start hunting my pets and the pets of friends of mine. Living in Arizona, in order
to hunt big game you have to be drawn (Lottery) to obtain a tag so predator hunting is a great way to fine-tune your skills. It is
said, “A coyote’s sense of smell is 10X that of a deer”. If you can sit on a stand and call in predators to within 15 yards of you,
you can surely get a deer within that range.
