PREDATOR HUNTING: SETTING UP A STAND
This is the final step in predator hunting. If you can’t see them you can’t shoot them. Try to find the high ground, a place where you can sit without sky lining yourself. Find a tree/bush you can sit or stand in front of that will break up your outline and provide you a shadow to sit in. The sun can ruin a stand before it ever has time to start (everything shines in the sun including the glass in your scope). Once you have the high ground and can see the area you intend to hunt and have a spot picked out you can sit in the shade with a bush/tree to break up your outline it is time to get yourself ready. Put on your face mask, gloves
get your shooting sticks adjusted and get comfortable. Before starting to call, wait a few minutes for everything to calm down and view the area making note of items within your view (this way they may not trick you into thinking they are something they aren’t). Now you are ready to start calling.
I recommend you start soft on the call and work your way louder if need be. Most times the predator will show up rather quickly.
